Three subgroups, composed of representatives chosen by KP and Alliance union leaders, will examine issues of importance to labor and management. These topics include labor-management partnership effectiveness, staffing and patient care, and artificial intelligence and technology.
A management and union representative leads each subgroup. Instead of taking hardline positions, members stake out common interests. During bargaining, assisted by outside facilitators, they identify interests and develop options.
Subgroups will report their progress at key “check-in” meetings with the Common Issues Committee (CIC) during each session.
